ABOUT ISO 9001:2015 QMS

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard for Quality Management that’s widely used with over one million certificates issued in more than 189 countries worldwide.

It’s designed to help organisations improve performance, meet customer expectations and demonstrate their commitment to quality while complying with any regulatory requirements required for their services or products.

The ISO 9001 Framework defines how we establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve our Quality Management System (QMS). Supporting the Rayden Engineering aims and strategic objectives, it documents our company processes, procedures, and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and goals.

ISO 9001:2015 is based on the following seven Quality Management principles:

  1. Customer Focus.
  2. Leadership.
  3. Engagement of People.
  4. Process Approach.
  5. Improvement.
  6. Evidence-based Decision Making.
  7. Relationship Management.

Our Quality Team follows a Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle, ensuring that processes are adequately planned, executed, monitored, and improved. We emphasise risk-based thinking to prioritise improvement areas and to proactively address any potential issues before they become a major problem.

RECERTIFICATION AUDIT

First certified for ISO 9001 in 2009, we’re regularly assessed by SGS UK Ltd, our Accredited Certification Body.

Our recent recertification audit consisted of a comprehensive, in-depth review conducted over three days at our head offices in Ilkeston on March 25th to 27th. This thorough examination analysed our processes, procedures, and systems to ensure ongoing compliance with the standard.

One minor non-conformance was found which was quickly rectified, allowing us to successfully pass our audit with aplomb. This means we are certified for the next three years until May 2027, subject to an annual surveillance audit, which is a much simpler process only taking one day to complete.

Our auditor was very complimentary about our QMS throughout the process, praising its presentation and ease of access to documentation.
