Project Manager

ROLE

Our continued success has resulted in major contract wins nationwide. We now need to expand operations and seek an additional, experienced Project Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will oversee the planning and delivery of various oil & gas pipeline construction projects across the UK. They will take the leading role in projects to ensure they are on track commercially, meet contractual commitments and follow the agreed programme of works.

They will be responsible for organising logistics, delegating work, and keeping track of spend to ensure projects are successfully delivered on time, within budget and satisfy all duties under CDM 2015.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  1. Managing construction of various oil & gas pipeline & installation projects throughout UK.
  2. Organising & taking leading role on project.
  3. Ensuring each project meets its targets for quality & customer satisfaction.
  4. Planning & supervision of workforce to execute works in accordance with project programme.
  5. Management & monitoring works to ensure compliance with client’s specifications.
  6. Liaising with both Rayden’s & client’s operation staff to ensure works are undertaken to everyone’s satisfaction.
  7. Maintaining records / diaries & actively supporting resolution of all construction issues.
  1. Production of detailed daily construction diaries.
  2. Implementing positive health, safety & environmental regime at all times.
  3. Building positive & productive working relationships our clients.
  4. Delivery of excellent customer service that exceeds expectations.
  5. Seeking ways to continuously improve processes & service delivery.
  6. Checking Quality, Health & Safety standards & make corrections where needed.
  7. Motivating other team members to build morale & help achieve goals & objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

With a background in engineering, and experience in project management, you will also have the following qualifications and experience:
  • Minimum HNC / HND in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in engineering role.
  • Minimum 3 years Mechanical & Civil experience in oil & gas industry: specific to above ground installations (AGI’s) & pipeline projects. *
  • Successful track record of delivering projects on time, in budget, whilst meeting client’s technical expectations.
  • Experience in Project Engineering & the Management of Design.
  • Understanding of trenchless crossing techniques, e.g. HDD & Micro Tunnel construction.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following:
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong leadership,motivational & people skills.
  • Willingness & ability to ‘roll up their sleeves’ & muck in with the rest of the team to get the job done.
  • Ability to work effectively fast-paced, deadline-oriented team environment.
  • Attention to detail & high level of accuracy.
  • Good commercial awareness including knowledge of NEC contract framework.
  • Ability to read & review piping & civil drawings.
  • Computer literate
  • Working knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft project is desirable.
