This accomplishment is testament to our team’s commitment to excellence in safety, efficiency, and environmental practices within our fleet operations.
ABOUT FORS
Established in 2008, FORS is the UK’s leading Fleet Accreditation Scheme designed to improve standards in the Road Transport Industry. It has nearly 5000 members across the UK and Europe, with over 100K accredited vehicles on the road.
A voluntary programme, FORS sets the standard for safer, smarter, and greener road transport operations by:
- Improving safety for drivers, employees and vulnerable road users.
- Driving efficient operations that results in many commercial advantages.
- Cleaner, greener fleets with lower emissions.
FORS provides a framework where operators can measure and improve their performance based on their commitment to key criteria such as: vehicle safety, environmental factors, driver training, operational efficiency and overall fleet management.
The programme offers three progressive levels of certification – Bronze, Silver and Gold – allowing for continuous improvement and recognition for achieving exemplary levels of best practice.
WHY FORS
The Rayden Engineering Transport Division runs an extensive fleet of vehicles so we can service clients nationwide. It is therefore essential that we prove our commitment to excellence in the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our Fleet Operations.
FORS acts as a benchmark for us to achieve this by embedding their industry-leading best practice framework within our business, so we can continually improve our systems, processes and operations.
FULL MARKS FOR BRONZE ASSESSMENT
The FORS Standard defines the requirements we must meet to achieve and maintain our certification.
An independent FORS Auditor visits us once a year to assess our performance against their set framework criteria. For Bronze Level, requirements are grouped into four key areas:
- Management
- Vehicles
- Drivers
- Operators
Audited annually as a Single Operating Centre (SOC) at our Head Offices in Ilkeston, we must provide evidence of best practice procedures, policies, and associated processes to prove we meet and adhere to the FORS Standard.
We’re thrilled to say that we scored a perfect 100% at this year’s audit when we renewed our Bronze Level Certification – with no actions to complete – a fantastic achievement.
Our Bronze Level Certification confirms we employ best practice and are compliant with the latest FORS standard. This includes demonstrating our dedication to driver and vehicle safety, combined with improving operating practices through effective monitoring of fuel and tyre usage.
“Achieving 100% during certification is an incredible achievement. I’m really proud of the team, they’ve shown a tremendous amount of dedication and diligence.FORS demonstrates our commitment in helping raise standards for the benefit of all road users. It provides peace of mind, that we’re managing our Work-Related Road Risk and creating a safe work environment for all.”
