This is the first of two ESAB LHF 250 welding rectifier machines we have listed for sale.
This is a thyristor-controlled welding rectifier machine with mains voltage compensation designed for hand and TIG welding. This ensures constant & arc voltage regardless of mains voltage variations.
The electronic control circuitry maintains pre-set welding current value. A single knob setting takes care of the entire welding current range which is located on the front control panel.
The unit comes with cables and the PHB 2 remote control unit ready for use. This remote control unit is of a heavy-duty design, featuring a coarse & fine setting variable potentiometer for accurate adjustment. This is required for TIG welding with high frequency arc ignition.
The LHF 250 is a sturdy & robust machine designed for manual heavy-duty MMA welding with coated electrodes with direct current, for TIG welding and for ARC air gouging.

The machine has two sturdy lifting eyelets on the top of the outer casing so that it can be easily transported by crane, shop traveller or forklift. For quick mobility while working it also has two rubber wheels and handles so it can be easily moved around short distances.
The wide current and voltage range make the LHF 250 welder easy to optimise settings for a wide variety of filler materials. It is possible to adjust parameters during welding process.
The unit is equipped with hot start and anti-stick functions.
The LHF 250 welder has vertical static characteristics which means that regardless of cable length and arc voltage, the current is constant.
The dynamic characteristics of the LHF range ensures stable, spatterfree arc and easily controlled molten pool.
This welder can be used with the following remote-control devices:
PHA 1, PHA 2, PHA 5, PHB 1, PHB 2, och PHC 2.
As a safety precaution the welding machine will switch off automatically in case of overheating.

The duty cycle refers to the time as a percentage of a ten-minute period that you can weld at a certain load without overloading.
The IP code indicates the enclosure class, i. e. the degree of protection against penetration by solid objects or water. This welder is marked IP23 designed for indoor and outdoor use.
The letter S indicates that the welder is designed for use in areas with increased electrical hazard.
When new and in service this welding power source complied with the requirements of IEC 974-1 and EN 60974-1. This may not be the case now and the unit is bought as seen. The seller takes no responsibility for any regulatory requirements that the unit needs to comply with.
