This resulted in zero non-conformances and no areas identified for improvement, reflecting the consistently high standards maintained across our business.
This excellent result demonstrates the discipline, consistency, and attention to detail embedded throughout our operations here at Rayden Engineering Limited (REL).
ABOUT ISO 3834-2:2021 WQMS
BS EN ISO 3834-2:2021 is an internationally recognised standard defining the quality requirements for the fusion welding of metallic materials.
It ensures all welding activities are:
- Planned and controlled.
- Delivered by competent personnel.
- Completed using qualified procedures and equipment.
- Fully traceable and compliant throughout.
The standard underpins both our workshop fabrication and on-site welding, ensuring consistent, repeatable, high-quality results across all projects.
CERTIFIED TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL
ISO 3834-2:2021 is structured across three levels:
- Grade 4 – Basic
- Grade 3 – Standard
- Grade 2 – Comprehensive (Highest Level)
REL continues to be certified to Grade 2, confirming that our welding processes, controls, and personnel meet the very highest levels of quality assurance.

We first achieved ISO 3834 certification in 2015 and undergo annual reassessment by our accredited body TÜV UK.
The latest audit included a detailed review of REL:
- Welding procedures (WPS).
- Personnel competence.
- Material traceability.

- Inspection, testing & NDT.
- Quality documentation.
Achieving zero findings across all areas demonstrates that our Welding Quality Management System continues to operate at an exceptionally high level.
